I am so pumped for Guardians of the Galaxy. Totally. I'm like 12% pumped.

SO IT'S OUT!!!!

I liked it, but I didn't love it. The laughs and character moments worked. The central plot...not so much.

MY INITIAL REVIEW COMING OUT OF THE THEATER

I want to see this, but think date night with the wife is going to see the Circle before I see this one...

Nooooooooo!!!

The Circle might be my least favorite movie that's come out this year. I really really didn't' like it.

Date night fell through this Friday, no movie time with the wifey poo.

I liked the premise of the book, thought the raunchy scenes were rather pointless and added nothing to the story. Was hesitant about the movie, but glad to see Emma Watson wasn't up for s3x scenes in a bathroom stall. I want to see this movie, hoping they do it justice. Curious your thoughts on it, but perhaps I should wait until I see it for myself.

I haven't read the book, but my wife did. From talking about it with her it sounds like a bunch of stuff was changed and not really for the better. She described a bunch of romance plotline not in the film, and it also seemed to lack much of the depth regarding what all was going on.

As for my thoughts...here you go...

Man, this movie was so freaking good! There wasn't any point of it I didn't like (except for about 1 minute 30 I was peeing). I absolutely lost my crap right at the end when (very minor spoiler)

Peter was gifted something "everyone on Earth is using". A Zune.

I quite enjoyed it, though I enjoyed the first more. I'm not a big fan of Kurt Russell, so it was no surprise that I wasn't very impressed with him. I was surprised to find out that many others felt the same way. Overall, I felt it was a very solid MCU film. Also, two more this year and 4 next year. Heck yes.

I enjoyed it.

I had a question, though.

SPOILERS

In the end credits when Sylvester Stallone and his dudes are sitting there who was the big black dude in the back? I could have sworn it was Michael Clarke Duncan. But he's dead. I've tried Googling it but to no avail.

Terry Crews?

Ving Rhames? He looks kinda like MCD.

FWIW...I haven't seen it.

SPOILERS TO ANSWER THE SPOILER

It's Ving Rhames. Additionally in the crew are Michael Rosenbaum (the one name I recognise but didn't actually pick up on), and Michelle Yeoh

Guardians of the Galaxy

They are representing the original GOTG from the comics.

You win. I'm not good at recognizing actors and it kind of freaked me out.

SPOILER ANSWERS

To be fair, Ving Rhames does have a fair bit in common physically with the former MCD.
