What are some good classic rock guitar songs that are good to add to repertoire?

I am currently practicing Stairway to Heaven by Led Zeppelin. I don't know every rock song in the 70's and 80's; I just need a good guideline of classic rock songs that are good for building repertoire and building technique. Thanks.

It's from the 60's, but I highly recommend learning Little Wing by Jimi Hendrix.

I'll chime in on this resurrected thread. I started playing guitar around 1985. Back in those days (mid 80's through early 90's) there seemed to be a few riffs that everyone had to learn right out of the gate:

SMOKE ON THE WATER
BACK IN BLACK
IRON MAN

Those three seemed to be mandatory.... a few others:

LIFES BEEN GOOD TO ME SO FAR
CAT SCRATCH FEVER
ROCK YOU LIKE A HURRICANE
WALK THIS WAY
RUNNING WITH THE DEVIL

You get the picture.
