Secret Santa 2016

I know some of you are going to say, "Dude, it's just September, why are we talking about Santa?"

I am thinking that with the distance some gifts have to travel it might be good to get an early start. If we send gifts mid to late November, then they all should arrive before Christmas. Correct? That being said, I think it's time to start asking folks if they want to be involved. That gives us plenty of time to include ALL who want to participate.

So, if you're in, let us know. Also let us know if you can/cannot send things international. That will help when it comes time to make assignments.

I am definitely in and I am willing to send a gift anywhere in this big, old world of ours.

I will add people to this post as they join. Keep checking back.

Could you send one to the moon?

I'm thinking of immigrating over there.

We will pair people up based upon whether they can send stuff international or local only. Then we ask everyone to send a gift (we can discuss price limits) to the name they get so that it arrives as close to Christmas as possible. We typically leave our names off so that the receiver won't know who it is from until after it arrives. Once you receive your gift we ask that you take a photo and post it here. Then you find out who it is from.

I think we set the price limit to $15 or less but I don't remember now.

I'm in. I'm good with shipping things to the US, but I'd prefer to avoid Australia, Europe, etc (sorry Dogfood and Giuseppe)

Lo! How a rose e'er blooming from tender stem hath sprung,
Of Jesse's lineage coming, as seers of old hath sung,
It came a flower bright, amid the cold of winter,
When half-spent was the night.

Isaiah t'was foretold it, the rose I have in mind,
With Mary we behold it, the Virgin Mother kind,
To show God's love aright, she bore to us a Saviour,
When half-spent was the night.

O flower whose fragrance tender with gladness fills the air,
Dispel with glorious speldour the darkness everywhere,
True man, yet very God! From sin and death He saves us,
And lightens every load.
