Prayer for a friend

A friend who just got married this summer lost her husband a couple days ago. Please pray for her and both families, as he was younger than me. I can't imagine what his parents must be feeling.

What a terrible situation. I'll be praying.

Lord, have mercy.

May his memory be eternal. I'll pray for his soul's repose and his widow and their family's comfort.

~ Ryan Isaac

Lo! How a rose e'er blooming from tender stem hath sprung,
Of Jesse's lineage coming, as seers of old hath sung,
It came a flower bright, amid the cold of winter,
When half-spent was the night.

Isaiah t'was foretold it, the rose I have in mind,
With Mary we behold it, the Virgin Mother kind,
To show God's love aright, she bore to us a Saviour,
When half-spent was the night.

O flower whose fragrance tender with gladness fills the air,
Dispel with glorious speldour the darkness everywhere,
True man, yet very God! From sin and death He saves us,
And lightens every load.
