Seriously. Way too much talk about Bolt, not nearly enough about Neikirk. That was an amazing race.

Bolt... annoys me. Yes, he is the fastest. Yay, three Olympic golds. I just really don't like the total arrogance that accompanies it. I can definitely appreciate the actual running. He is an incredible athlete, and surely the greatest sprinter. I just... hate when he talks. Haha. Justin Gaitlin, too.

Bolt is a freak. Dude ran his slowest Olympic winning time in the 100m and still smoked the field.

Edit: also, he's apparently considered one of the most respectful competitors at the games, and will stop whatever he's doing to give respect to the other medal ceremonies going on.

He won by .08 seconds. I don't think of that as smoking the field, especially considering that his margins of victory in the previous two olympics were .17 and .20. His margin of victory was pretty normal in comparison with rest of the last 7 Olympics, with the exception of 2004, when Gatlin won by .01.

I have heard good things like that before, and that is awesome. I just really don't like the way he presents himself in interviews I have seen. I mean, to a degree, you need that kind of confidence to be the best like he is. It just annoys me.

He was insane in his first 200 heat today. It looked like he was jogging.

And that womens race where the lady from the bahamas dived to win. That was great.

he pretty much jogged the last ten or fifteen meters of the 100m as well. He's just running by another set of rules in that race.

Go USA!
Now that they lost, will you use SI units like the rest of us?

Also the "mugged" swimmers thing took such a weird turn lol

There is a view by many of the "Ugly American" and the swimmers in question did nothing to improve the image of Americans in general. It's bad enough to vandalize property, but to later claim you were a victim of armed robbery is ridiculous. I hope corporate sponsors leave in droves.
