Q: Flying Commercial w/Guitar or Bass

Can those of you who have flown commercial with your guitar/bass give me some insight/tips?

I'm going to WV for just a week but will be extremely bored if I don't take my bass.

Any input is greatly appreciated. -JtC

I believe the current rules is that instruments can be stored in the on board attendant storage.

Well, you'd think if one can make it to Ghana one could make it to WV.
