Christian Metal Recommendations

Go ahead...lay them on me. Old, new, whatever.

I'm really looking for what I consider classic "thrash" with real singing. I don't mind growling vocals on occasion but I can't take much of it.

I love Deliverance, Tourniquet, Vengeance Rising, Detritus, Eternal Decision, and so on.

Extol's Synergy album.

Pretty sure you already know of it.. maybe...

Also, may be too growly. But has some great clean singing moments.

I do have that one. I can deal with the vocals when the music is THAT good.

Well, if you like that album , three of the dudes from Extol had a side project for a bit. They had EP come out with three songs, and the music is genius. Beautifully done thrash metal.

Also... Living Sacrifice's first two or three albums were exclusively thrash and didnt have super screamy type vox. You may like those albums.

Thanks for the suggestions.

It's weird, I listen to heavier music now at age 46 than I did when I was 16 or 26. I missed some stuff and I'm trying to play catch up.

Been a long, long time Leboman......and, Yes, she does make you look good.

Christian Thrash: (Feel free to Thrash my suggestions...)

Heaven's Force "Aggressive Angel"
Ultimatum "Into The Pit" and the rest of their catalogue......
Moshketeers "The Downward Spiral"
Believer "Gabrielle" and others....
Boarders "The World Hates Me"

That's all that came to mind right now.

I don't think it's weird that your tastes may be heavier as you've aged.....That happened to me.....

Take Care

Not sure if this is thrash or skater punk, but The Crucified album Pillars of Humanity is excellent. Their lumbering riff fest, along with Tourniquet, gave me an appreciation for taking your time in songwriting. When the vocals don't even come in until the two minute mark, life is good!

That is one of the best metal albums ever released.

Want some incredible guitar work? Check out a band I gigged with- Aletheian. Their Dying Vine album is excellent. Their guitarist went on to play with Becoming the Archetype for a bit.
