Squeaky Guitar Noise.

Hi,

I have a Tanglewood acoustic guitar use a roland cube street amp and do a lot of busking.
ive noticed lately a squeaking noise.
I did unplug guitar and began to play and thought i could hear this squaking noise.
its weird its like little mice.
i seem to think its being caused by the friction between plectrum , strings and movement of my hand..is this correct, has anyone experienced this before????
Could it simply be battery needing replacement battery seems to be lasting forever....silly me, no distortion or anything like that.
It dosent happen all of the time either...its got me baffled.
any suggestions??

Does the guitar have a barn door for the battery? My buddy has a Washburn acoustic electric with a Fishman preamp and the battery door makes a thumping noise when the bass rings out.

is this just what we call 'string noise'? on any guitar, put a finger lightly on one of the wound strings and slide your hand up the neck. Is that the 'squeak' you're hearing?

If so, it's about your own playing technique. We all have to deal with it somehow.

Here's Paul McCartney making the occasional squeak....

Sorry if this isn't what you're talking about.

Hm.

I think he may have been referring to the OP.

They are banned now.

I can't see his signature because I am on the mobile app. Did it have a link in it?

Yeah. The OP had a spam link in their signature. It was actually caught by someone else. I left the thread up because I do think the topic is compelling.

Confused. Is this thread about link spammer or squeaky guitar noises?

Well, the posed question was from a link spammer, which means no questions towards the OP will ever get answered

That being said, I've found squeaky guitar noises to pretty much be string related almost every time.

Thanks for clearing that up. I guess it would have been nice to hear a sound clip of the problem. The mice description was vague. But then again so was my comment about the thumping sound my buddy's Washburn makes. But the battery door on his guitar makes a squeaking noise whether plugged in or unplugged.
