Jiu-jitsu, grappling, or mma for conditioning?

I remember Jthomas used to be on here and was doing jiu-jitsu for conditioning. Anyone else use something like that for exercise? I was doing a mix of running and judo/jiu-jitsu when I got in the best shape of my life.
