NBA 2015/16

I know there's not a lot of NBA fans here and most don't think the season gets interesting until 60 games or so have been played but I just thought I'd start the thread and throw a starter topic out.

The Golden State Warriors have one loss and the season is 1/3 over so they're on pace to have 3-4 losses at the end of the season. That's extremely unlikely, but they might match/beat the best single season record of 72-10 set by the Bulls 20 years or so ago.

I think if they can get to the all star break (about 13 games away) with 3 losses or less I'll start thinking they have a pretty good shot at the record.

The Warriors are just playing unreal ball right now.

But they don't seem to match up well with the Bucks.

I have only gotten back into the NBA over the last ten years or so. I pull for the Spurs and the Warriors.

Reasons?

Spurs: Duncan, Parker, and Danny Green (UNC baby)
Warriors: Curry is just sick and Harrison Barnes (more UNC love)

The Spurs have been one of my favorite teams for over 15 years. Reason?

I was a Trailblazer fan in the 80's and 90's and they just had one bad apple after another. Guys up on drug possession charges, drunk driving, there was a "sleeping with minors in the hotel" thing involving 3 or 4 players, and a ton of selfish and dysfunctional teams. It was the same thing through most of the NBA. Meanwhile in San Antonio they're just quietly winning championships. David Robinson was the man and he set the standard when it comes to putting your ego aside and letting the next superstar take over. Now you see Tim Duncan and the other older Spurs doing the same thing. Just a class act all the way around.

I am very excited at the prospect of the Kings getting back to the playoffs. They are only 1.5 out of the 8 spot in the West. and have beaten the 8 and 7 teams pretty handily. As long as Cousins stays healthy, they have a good shot.

Of course, if they get the Warriors in the first round, it won't be pretty. Those guys are awesome.

Is there any doubt that they are the two best teams in the league? Their combined records are 105-14.
