Jimmy Eat World

So I've been a big fan of JEW for many years now (actually with several years inbetween where I forgot about them...) and I recently decided to learn to play some of their songs just to broaden my horizons so to speak.

I was quite surprised to find that almost all of their hit songs utilize the same chord progression on verse and chorus but simply played with a different rhythm or effect. I'm sure I would find the same thing with a lot of music but it just surprised me how I had never noticed it before.

And not that my songs are all that complex but it certainly reinforced the idea in my mind that sometimes simple is better.
