Oh, we fleeced the Dbags in the Miller trade, I said that after the Simmons and Maybin trades, which were pretty awful.

I like Miller, but we got a player who had a higher WAR last year, and two other top prospects.

The Braves have pitching prospects for days. Several that are pretty darn close to ready. So moving a pitcher to address the fact that you had NO viable options at CF and very few high average bats that could run... That was great by itself, but throw in two highly touted prospects, including one that projects higher than Miller himself that could be ready by late 2016 or early 2017? I'm pretty cool with that. But that's the only good trade Coppy has pulled off since taking over.

Looking at the prospects and picks the Braves have traded for over the last couple seasons 2016 and 2017 will be tough years, but They could start looking real dangerous 2018 and beyond. And aren't they building a new stadium?

Even with Bumgarner looking off in the debut, that Giants lineup looked powerful. I am really excited to see what this team can do with what I see as their best rotation since 2010, and their best lineup since... I don't know, maybe 1989? Maybe 2003?

Yeah...I mean, he did break the rule, but that's the kind of play that it doesn't make sense that the rule outlaws it...

the replay looked odd. With the hand extended like that it looks like he was trying to swipe his leg. That being said, I've heard about the rule but haven't actually really seen it explained well.

At first I thought it was a good slide, but the more I saw the replay the more it looks like to me Bautista reached into his feet to try and disrupt the throw to first, kinda of a ugly way to loose a game

Here's the thing: The ONLY thing that Bautista did that was against the rule was to come off the base. The rule does not preclude breaking up a double play with your body. Yes, he broke the letter of the rule, which is worded poorly. The spirit of the rule? No. Not at all. I hate how it was called. But, I guess... it was called correctly by how the rule was written.

But let's talk about what's important. The Giants.

Wow...

I guess everyone who hates bat flips just got their money's worth: Texas Rangers' Rougned Odor lands punch to face of Toronto Blue Jays' Jose Bautista during brawl

Funny that Odor go so upset after a hard slide, considering he's been consistently worse than that his entire career...
