To-do list app

I’m looking for a to-do list app. Essentially all I need it to do is have the ability to create a to-do list (for example my “Wednesday in the office” to-do list), load it up every Wednesday, check the things off, then have that ready for me again on the next Wednesday instead of having to re-enter all of the tasks for that day. Sub-lists for certain tasks would be helpful, but not necessary. Anybody know of anything in this area? I’m pretty sure Omnifocus is in this region, but I’m not looking to spend $40 if at all possible.

ToDoist has a premium version, but it is very very functional without paying anything. It even has common-language dates. You can type "Pick up paycheck every first and third friday" and it should put it in, recurring just as you said. You can make different projects, color-code them, and give priorities. It is sync'd with your email so you can get a daily digest telling you what you gotta tackle that day.

If you want, you can even share projects with other people, so that tasks can get delegated.
