All my passwords are MargaretThatcheris110%sexy. (link not 100% CGR-appropriate)

But seriously, though, I love this strategy. The restrictions mentioned briefly at the end are still major hurdles, though - remembering different little poems for your various accounts, and the absurd limits on password length still prevalent online.

That's one way. I set some of mine by the "describe something near you" method.

I should change my passwords...

I know for a fact a certain password I use for 45% of sites has been compromised
My other 45% password I had to tell my IT guy it once to do something for me. Not that I don't trust him, but you shouldn't do that...

I'll be making the rounds changing all of mine again soon.

I use a password manager to randomly generate passwords and two step authentication whenever possible. I do not believe in password as a an actual security measure. It's merely a part of proper authentication. That being said, I work at Tripwire Inc., one of the world's foremost security companies. Though, I do not speak with authority, that seems to be the opinion of most of my contemporaries.

Two-step authentication is always preferable.

I'm changing your name, birthday and sexual orientation on Facebook, now.

(Though I note your birthday has already happened on Facebook, and I haven't checked your more personal details so someone appears to have beaten me to it)
