It is so there is time to get the name, find an appropriate gift + shipping time. For us that live on the other side of the World, it takes a while to send/receive packages

I wouldn't mind leaving the sign-up open until the 31st. That still leaves six weeks to make assignments and send gifts.

This isn't unreasonable.

Look, if Santa can circle the globe in one night, then surely we can get a package delivered in a few weeks....

Seriously, I do understand the dilemma. My recipients in prior years have been in the USA so I didn't have to deal with the international hassles.

I think that's reasonable. Once sign up is closed, it doesn't take long to get names out to people, and then they have all of November and early December to shop and ship.

I agree with Paul that we should encourage people to ship by the second or third week in December.

As long as someone is in charge and sets some deadlines, I'm ok with it.

Me me. Although I'll go ahead and spoil it for whoever my giftee is, you'll be getting a 2nd gen iPod with '90s music on it. If you hang onto it long enough, you can resell it as a vintage piece for a fortune!

Let me join!

I don't mind shipping to the US (also it might be difficult for you to find me another Canadian to Secretly Santa to)

I'll take the helm .

Ryan, you're in!

Any last-minute participants must be signed up by November! I'll send out assignments in early November . Unless you have specifically stated that you cannot do international (AKA US-only), I will assume you can/will ship internationally.
