NCAAF

Just thought I'd put this out there and see if anyone wants to comment on college football this year. There were a lot of good match up this week with several top 10 teams losing. It will be interesting to look at the rankings this week.

I think LSU and Alabama will both move up significantly.

Will Ohio State drop out of first place without losing? Based on their "strength of schedule" they should be looking as dominant as anyone and 2 out of their last 3 games have ended up being much closer than they needed to be.

And on a personal, and very sad note.....the Oregon Ducks

I'm a long suffering UNC fan so I am happy with our season thus far.

VT is in rapid descent, and there's not much likelihood of salvaging the season... Le sigh. We keep getting beaten in games we "should" win.

Interesting to hear about Ohio State, though.

Tennessee is falling down after having high hopes. The match up next year with Tennessee versus Virginia Tech at Bristol Motor Speedway is not exactly looking like anything they were expecting. It'll probably be broadcast on ESPN 8 "The Ocho."

On the upside, Liberty University seems to be establishing themselves even more as an actual contender.

Anybody see this. It was a great finish, but in hindsight, the refs blew it. Now they're suspended.

It's crazy. The biggest way they blew it wasn't their calls in real time, but their unbelievable failure to see things on the replay. Crazy game, crazy ending.

So in the new "playoffs" in college football, the non-con schedule was supposed to require schools to beef up, or be penalized in consideration for the 4 teams selected. What do you all think about Washington's non con? I also find it problematic that a team that didn't even qualify to play for their conference championship, somehow DOES qualify for the National championship. I know it's happened a few times before, but I wish they would expand to 6 teams. Allow the first and second seed to have a bye, the 3rd and 4th seed host a game against the 5th and 6th seeds. What do you all think?

I'm a Kansas fan, and sure we are bad at football, but I keep hoping for the future to change our pigskin fortunes. Until that time...there's always basketball.

Wake Forest Football Fiasco

Apparently, a radio commentator for Wake Forest football offered/provided information concerning plays and game plans to at least one opposing team (Louisville) which accepted the information. This guy was a player at Wake Forest and an assistant coach there as well. The coach at Louisville who took the info was a friend of his and both had been on staff at Wake Forest under a different head coach. The guy in question was fired as a coach during a regime change and took the radio gig afterwards.

Thoughts?
