I didn't expect him to win, but it's strange that he couldn't get any traction among conservative voters. One of the (if not the) most successful governors in recent history, good ideas about the economy and domestic policy, and though limited, he has some actual foreign policy experience (which is in short supply on the Republican debate stage). Past the little brain-fart on the debate stage 4 years ago, there is really nothing wrong with him as a canadate. Dude just didn't resonate, I guess.

Friends don't let friends support Donald Trump

Seriously, people said he served a function at one point because he was forcing conversation on issues. For the last few weeks though it has been nothing but a distraction. I'm tired of hearing other candidates asked about "Donald Trump said.... about you..." when they could be being asked about real issues. Please, if you know someone supporting Donald Trump, please attempt to set them straight.

Thank you

More and more I feel like my best current choice of action is to barely pay attention until next March.

I'll take Trump over any of the dems. Maybe the best hope to win for the gop.

What exactly draws you to Trump? I sincerely wonder because for me, as a Christian of a particular style, I cannot even fathom voting for him.

I tend to follow after this model as well... And it's depressing. I haven't the heart to try to trudge through the mounds of rhetoric each candidate has built up. I feel like I do that enough at work -- why would I want to on my own time?

Uhhh putting Trump up is like guaranteeing a loss. His only hope of winning is the ironic vote. A handful of people like him for some random reason. A handful of people like him because they're amused by his antics. Then the vast majority are either embarrassed or or confused at his popularity.

As much as some like to pretend the Democrats have the upper hand, they don't have any non-polarizing candidates. They have a socialist with conviction and a career politician who's a scandal lightning rod.

Sort of a strange statement. Is there a candidate that a Christian of a particular style would find acceptable?

Well, one that doesn't worship Mammon, and constantly insult entire races, not to mention not give a ____ about helping refugees. Or constantly insult everyone, calling them losers. Or alienate even conservative women. Those are a few starts.

So, is there a candidate that a Christian of a particular style would find acceptable?

They all have their agendas. At least Trump is not that hard to see through. He wants money and power. So do the rest, but they're hiding behind masks. The dude is not a good guy. I am in the camp that I don't trust anyone who finds enough support to be an early frontrunner. Their may be a good candidate back in the back, but they will never get the support needed to be more than just a wishful thought. Politics=Evil

Seriously. I'm getting more and more terrified that people actually seem to be taking Donald Trump seriously as a candidate. If we lived in a sane world, his candidacy would be considered a joke, the press would ignore him, and he wouldn't get a single vote in any party selection process.
