Android or Windows

It's a sorta "which one do you think is better" kind of thing. Anyway, i like Windows sometimes, but i've never tried it on mobile. My android device tends to get very slow. But, unless that's just because my android device is a little older, then i'm interested if there's a faster Android O.S. I currently have Android Jelly Bean. But, i'm not sure if Android KitKat is good or not.

Anyway, just wondering if you know which one you think is better or not. Or, maybe some details about the two.

Android is a great mobile OS.
Windows is a terrible mobile OS but a great desktop OS.

Android KitKat had a lot of performance improvements, and would probably be a lot faster for you.

Ok, well, I don't have too many problems with android.
Good fact, Windows is better as a desktop O.S.

Great, Android Jelly Bean is awfully slow. But, I guess I can deal with Android KitKat

Hmm, there is Windows Phone. I wonder if that's better than the other Windows mobile.

Maybe.

Windows Phone and Mobile are the same platform.

Back in the day, Windows CE and Mobile were pretty darn good. HTC used to produce a heap of phones and then they'd get rebranded for other carriers. I fiddled with a fair few O2 XDA phones and they were brilliant.

But now with Android and iOS as dominant platforms, Windows mobile has taken a dive. Apart from the connectedness between Windows 10 desktop and phone platforms, and the that I know how to write in Visual Basic so I could throw things together in Visual Studio, there's not a lot about Windows mobile I like.

But you can't compare Windows desktop to Android phone. They're designed for entirely different things.

I prefer Lollipop because I like the style, and I like being always on the latest OS

Bingo.

If you want apps, just download Bluestacks .... It is a working open-source Android OS that you can use on your computer. So, go ahead and download those apps, my friend!

I like Andy a lot better than Bluestacks. Less obnoxiousness.

Ok, the only problem is finding a cheap priced device with Android Lollipop, but it might not be so hard(maybe).

Finding the latest OS is nice. But still, check the reviews(if you can). Or just ask someone .

Generally the latest version of Android is better where possible. Most phones and tablets that come with it are designed to meet its requirements so they generally run it pretty well.

Hadn't heard of Andy before. Might have to look into it. I don't mind Bluestacks... until it prompts you to either get a subscription or download apps.

Jelly Bean and KitKat does seem to possibly have some problems. So, Android Lollipop is a good choice.

The only concerned is that sometimes, the better the OS, the more the price might be. But, I might be wrong. It's just hard finding not so sluggish OS's and feeling confident about it.

We've talked about why your phone is so slow. It doesn't have anything to do with the operating system. It's the combination of a low-mid range phone, and the software that is on there that locks you out of everything. Android is a good operating system, but like anything else, it has limitations.

You mean my tablet? My tablet has Android Jelly Bean, and the O.S. is really slow. Sometimes it is. I'm not sure if the tablet is the issue instead of the OS.

Android is a good operating system, but it gets junky sometimes. It all depends on how old it is, and if it's slow or not. Or, if anybody has used it, or if it has good reviews.
