Blue enCORE mics on BOGO sale on MF right now.

These are getting rave reviews and several people are giving them favorable comparisons to the SM57s and 8s even at this price point. Fantastic deal right now. I just ordered two of the 100is which are the instrument versions. I'm pretty excited.

How do you like them? I now have 3 100 and 1 200.

I've been thinking about looking into Blue mics. Keep hearing good things about them.

The Encore 200 sounds great with just about any type of voice. It's only fault is it's lack of feedback rejection, and if you don't have phantom power (it requires it). My only complaint about the 100 is that the midrange isn't quite as boosted as, say, a Sennheiser E935 or even the Heil PR20 and AKGD5, but it is a terrific dynamic mic. Very rugged, and not much handling noise. Also, it feels like a big hunk of durable microphone goodness. I don't hold mics often but when I do, I really like the feel of the Blue Encore series. Some day I may get a 300.

I ended up with 2 encore 200s and 2 encore 100is, and both are fantastic. I couldn't be any happier with them. They sound way better than the Shure's in their price range. I don't know about those other mics, but are they in the same price range as the 200s and the 100s, and the Shure SM58/57 and Beta 58/57s? Because that's roughly what they are made to compete with and when these were on BoGo, it really made EVERYTHING in that price range look like a just awful buy.

I use a Blue YETI all the time to record demos for my bandmates. It's USB and I can lay down all the parts live , clean, and tasty in just a short time. Sounds good, too!
