Boss has ordered an HDD for me to store work stuff on. Woo!

My graphics card has been crashing a lot since a recent driver update. I've rolled back a few versions (why does EVGA feel the need to put out updates every couple weeks anyway?) and it seems to be running okay. If it crashes again I'll roll it back further.

At least for NVidia, its mostly "Game Ready" updates(read: tweaks for new games) AFAIK

That and a lot of updates for VR, which I don't use at all. I play like... 4 games. Portal 2, AoE II HD, Minecraft, and Stanley Parable.

So the driver is still crashing like crazy. This morning I managed to get a whopping 15 seconds of gameplay in on Minecraft before it grey-screened on me and gave me another "Error Code 3". I'm really starting to think it could have something to do with the Optifine HD mod. It doesn't crash in other games.

Also, MS Visual C++ keeps crashing whenever I try to export anything from Adobe Audition. I don't know why but this seems to happen every few system installs.

One fresh install later, my 7 key has run out of valid installs. Alas, the days of using my free MSDN student key from 2010 are over. :P

Thermal grease in the socket and a bent pin, the fruits of impatience. This will be fun to attempt to remedy.

This is what happens when I decide to sell my computer... I look at Craigslist and find a second graphics card for dirt cheap. And then I add it to my system.
