RAM, SSD, keyboard, and extra case fan are on the way. That's all the parts, folks! I *may* be able to build this next Saturday.

How many more parts are you still waiting on?

Keyboard, SSD, RAM, and extra fan. All should arrive tomorrow.

B&H held up my RAM order and it wasn't going to come to me for about 2 more weeks. So I canceled it and put in an overnight order on Newegg for a 4x4GB kit of Kingston FURY HyperX DDR4-2400. Should be here tomorrow, so hopefully I should be running system testing Thursday. If things check out well, I'll be building on Saturday.

So my whole plan to do a big, amazing video of this build has gone down the tubes. I got too eager today and built the darn thing already.

But, here is a picture! More to come later:

SSD RAID 0 achieved. Hopefully I'll be averaging 600Mb/s + sequential write speeds and even higher read speeds.

After trouble with the overclock, I've dialed it back 100MHz to 4.2GHz. Completely stable now.

Installed the first hotswap bay today. Looks great, after disassembling and painting the latch white (was silver before; didn't match the theme, so I fixed it).

Lol to all of these.

I've since dismantled the RAID and opted to install my OS and some critical C-drive-specific apps to one SSD, and installed the rest of my apps (Adobe CC, games, certain utilities, and anything else I could spare) to the other SSD. System actually runs generally faster, apps load faster, and things are more stable this way than the other.

CPU overclock has been further tuned in to 4.4GHz stable, GPU has been overclocked +104MHz from 1366 to 1470, mostly stable (the OpenGL driver crashes here and there, but that could just be the driver needing to be updated).

Fans have been fine-tuned so temps stay very satisfactory throughout my system in a variety of conditions. Will be smoke-testing soon to check overall pressure (going for positive pressure).

I'm still seeing issues with media encoding not utilizing my full CPU potential and generally just running sluggish.

After I get settled into whatever new job I end up with, I'm thinking of buying another 4x4GB kit of HyperX Fury DDR4-2400 to bring my total up to 32GB running in quad channel (8 DIMMs).

Also hoping to get my boss to pay me a little advance to buy a new HDD for media storage for work, so I can keep all of my work stuff on one drive that I'm not having to pay out of pocket for.
