We watched the first two episodes, and we were very happy with them. Very entertaining.

I woke up at 2 AM this morning and decided to watch the first five episodes because they are saved on my DVR (I've got the whole season BTW).

Yep...I like it.

It's interesting seeing other BB characters in a different setting when you know what eventually happens to them.

Yeah, we finished the season a few days ago. I love it. Gilligan did an amazing job of using the characters in a show with a totally different feel. The guy is a master.

I wish we didn't have to wait so long for season two.

The first season of Better Call Saul has concluded.

My opinion? This show is a veritable "Chicago sunroof" on much of the rest of contemporary television programming. If that wasn't clear enough I'm saying this is currently my favorite thing on TV. It's well written, funny, excellently paced and plotted out, and dark enough to be interesting while never descending into the dismal dregs we see from The Walking Dead (which is one of the few other shows I like enough to watch consistently but man, it takes itself too seriously sometimes). Not to mention the consistently good performances by Bob Odenkirk and the rest of the cast. And while it may be too early to judge whether it has really escaped the huge shadow cast by Breaking Bad (perhaps my favorite shows of all time), there's little doubt in my mind that it stands on its own as a series.

So, what are everyone else's impressions?

I love it.

I think Odenkirk is priming himself to become the critic's darling that Bryan Cranston was by the end of Breaking Bad.

Oh yeah...Michael McKean FTW.

It is definitely worth watching.

I thought it would be overly silly, because Jimmy was a bit of a boob in Breaking Bad, but this show really opens him up and makes him interesting as a character,

I'm not quite ready to call it the best show on TV. Breaking Bad was the best show on TV. Maybe ever. But TV has improved in such a short time span... However, it is a great show. A truly fantastic character study. Odenkirk is fantastic, and the supporting cast, much like with Breaking Bad, was chosen perfectly. I can't wait for the next season.
