Help a neighbourly Canadian out?

Hey guys!
I'm hoping somebody here is willing to help me out with this. It should be super simple.
I want to order a replacement headphone cable from Ultimate Ears in Irvine, CA, but to ship it to Canada costs ($70) almost double the amount that the product costs ($40). It looks like it can be shipped via UPS ground to a US zip code for free though ($0!).
I want to be able to ship it to a willing friend, who can then send it to me via standard post, or something that doesn't cost $70 to cross the border... I am more than willing to compensate you for this!
I'm in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. It should weigh less than 100 grams, and is very small, in case you want to check rates at your post office before you commit.

So, who wants to be my new best friend?

It's easy to have a big hammer and think that everything is a nail
