vocal effects

My wife wants to use vocal effects. I'm experimenting with two mics: one clean, one with rad effects. Both mics aimed at the singer's mouth. That way the singer can favor one over the other for more or less effect. We also have a vocalist live 3 but she is not happy with the sounds from it.

Anyone have any thoughts? Suggestions? Recommendations?

Love to play for Him

I've done a little bit of messing with vocal effects, although mostly just with reverb. My Boss RC30 looper has a mic input, so if I chuck it at the start of my chain I can use all of my effects on vocals.

Reverb and delay are pretty good to have on vocals, but flanger and other modulation effects can be fun too. A compressor might be a good thing to have regardless of other effects.
