NCAA Hoops 2014-15

Season gets underway this week! KU plays a tough team in UC Santa Barbara, and then on Tuesday the big Blue of Kentucky. I like the fact that Bill Self isn't afraid to schedule tough non-con games, as it gets very young players (many that won't stay more than a year) experience in tough settings. If you wanna be ready by March Madness, it's never too early to expose them to pressure.

As usual Calipari has a very tough team at Kentucky, and I'm looking forward to the season beginning.

Yeah...UNC heads to Kentucky on December 13th.

I have low expectations this year so any amount of success that they have will be welcomed.

Yeah, I'm pretty excited about this season. But I wish people would knock it off with the 40-0 talk. Not happening.

Yeah...I don't think that will ever happen again.

It doesn't help when even freaking Larry Brown is saying it.

They did the same thing a few years ago with UNC. All that pre-season hype and then they turned on them like sharks when they dropped a couple of early games.

Of course...we ended up winning it all that year so....

It happened last year with Kentucky too. Preseason #1 and stupid rumblings about an undefeated season. Then we had a rough go of it and only got an 8 seed at the big dance. Of course our postseason turned out pretty awesome.

Well I'll be pulling for the Jayhawks to remove that talk next week then

Lot's of great talent there, I can see where expectations are high, and should be high. Never helps for people to be too ridiculous however. I think it's better if a team loses early enough in the season, to learn and remove the additional pressure from entering the NCAA tourney undefeated.

Wow, should we just crown 'em now? UK was tough to be sure. KU only made 11 buckets and took 56 shots. I know we are a very young team, but that was certainly an impressive performance by Kentucky. Hopefully we can match up again in March!

Yeah, Kentucky had as many blocks as Kansas made field goals. I don't think Kansas is a bad team though. Maybe they played a little soft and still have some freshman to break in. But Kentucky is just amazingly talented (and freaking huge) this year.

I haven't watch my sworn enemies play yet. It looks like they handled Michigan State with no problem.

I confess...I have very low expectations for UNC this year. I miss the days when you assumed they'd at least make the Sweet Sixteen or Elite Eight.

It saddens me...it really does.

UK defeats another top 10 team. Remains undefeated. Wonder how long it will go. The 2012 team with Anthony Davis lasted until December 10.

Anyway, glad Jay Bilas called our game. Not a huge fan of Dickie V. Don't hate him though. Just not in love with his game calling.

Duke's Ojeleye is transferring, Florida State's Thomas is ineligible, and Kentucky loses Poythress to an ACL injury.

Crazy couple of weeks.

Didn't get to see it but UNC beat OSU today. Maybe these guys will finally get their act together.

41-7 Kentucky over UCLA at the half.

I don't think I've ever seen a score like that.
