oh this is an easy one!

Over the years i've owned a Gibson Les Paul standard and an Ibanez JS1000 joe satriani signature guitar.

The gibson was just huge, both in sound and in weight. an immense guitar.
The JS1000 was the fasted and easiest guitar to play i've ever owned. the floating trem was a pain but well worth it.

But they had to go to make way for things like a house and car.

I should have just gotten a 2nd job!

I've only ever sold two guitars. One was an American Strat that I didn't like nearly as well as the heavily customized Mexican Strat I had so I sold the US one and bought an old Baldwin ODE Banjo.

The other guitar was an Epiphone LP that I dearly loved. Regretted selling it and a couple years later, was able to buy it back.

Other than these two, I buy guitars but somehow have trouble letting my babies go.

I bought a new Gibson SG Special when I was in high school, 1968....well, Clapton played an SG so I had to have one. I should have kept it, but I got into playing acoustic so I traded it around 1975.

Mine was a 1985 MIJ Stratocaster in Lake Placid Blue with a white 3 ply pickguard, maple neck/board and a Fender System 1 locking single locking bridge. I got it from a friend for some work I did for him back in college. A couple years later I sold it to take care some financial issues that I came into. At the time I also really didn't appreciate it as much as I would now but I always did regret selling it.
This isn't mine that I know of but a couple pics that I found on the Interweb.

You're the only other person I've met who knows about Hamer guitars!

I am currently borrowing one from a friend. I think it is a cheap thing (maybe $300 or so), but it is actually not bad!

I've always got my eyes open for an Echotone.

I have been wanting a Hamer Standard (Explorer body) ever since I saw Rick Nielsen play one. And yes...I want it to be black and white checkerboard.
