Journals isn't visible unless you're a registered, logged-in user. Advice (and the rest of the site, excluding things like the mod forum) is visible. I'm not sure if Journals is search-indexed.

Nope journals is not search-indexed. I set that up. I might add some sections such as advice and prayer request if you think that is a good idea.

I think the reason we hadn't done that previously was for the sake of allowing anonymous questions/prayer requests. I'm definitely in favor of de-indexing them, but I'm not sure we want to make them members-only unless we make a suggestion about using throwaway accounts if you want anonymity.

I think it's a good idea. Might also cut back on the occasional new users who show up and bump a thread that's eight years old because they found it on Google.
