| Christian Metal Okay...in my old age I am finding that I am reverting back to my old headbanging days.
What are some of your favorite Christian metal bands? They can be old school or new.
I am listening to a LOT of Bloodgood and Stryper. Both of them have recent albums out that are among the best they have ever released.
I just checked out Believer's 2009 album...Gabriel. It's pretty cool. I also want to check out the latest from Sacred Warrior.

| Stryper is indeed classic.
As far as newer stuff, almost everything from Becoming the Archetype from when Jason Wisdom was the lead vocalist. Terminate Damnation, The Physics of Fire and Dichotomy were all classic metal albums. Also, there was a band that I used to listen to a lot named Oil. It was led by Ron Rinehart and their one studio album, Refine, was some classic groove metal. I need to look through my albums to see if I still have that album.

| We probably have differing tastes in metal genres, but some good "older" (for me) stuff I appreciate is Pantokrator, Renascent, and maybe even a little Living Sacrifice?
Though, you may like this a bit more. Nevermind the super cheesy video.

| I'm pretty open when it comes to metal.
I like everything from hair metal (Stryper, Shout, etc....) to extreme stuff (Impaled Baphomet).
I like suggestions for stuff I've never heard before.
I just got turned on to an old band I missed the first time around (Detritus).

| I am currently sampling Krig's Decay's Beholder at the suggestion of a Facebook acquaintance. It's described as technical brutal death metal.
So far...it is living up to the description. It is interesting but is not something I would listen to a lot. I've never been a huge fan of the cookie monster growling.

| Cookie Monster vocals are part of why I'm just not into hardcore like I used to be. I like screaming but I'm suuuuuper picky.
What I'm wondering is... does this band still exist? Fantastic.

| I was going to say Living Sacrifice, but it has already been mentioned!
Ok, what about Demon Hunter? They are pretty good.
Check out Norma Jean as well. And The Chariot. The Chariot is amazing.

Yes, it's older and I don't think they are together any more, but they're local to me, so they'll always have a special place in my heart.

I've never listened to The Chariot.
