P.S. Nice sig, Jesus Fish.
I know I'm a bit late, but thanks

I finished The Fellowship of the Ring, and went to the library for The Two Towers, and they didn't have it! I was so bummed. So, after lookin around, I found a book called "Extreme Islam" which is very interesting. I've only read the first few chapters, but one of them talks about during WW2 where this leader of the Arab Legion (I think, I'm probly wrong on that, but he was the leader of some Arab group) was having talks with Hitler. And it talks about how they were basically on the same side because they both hated the Jews, the English, and the Communists.

Did you know the movie for that book is coming out...sometime? I saw the preview in Star Wars, and it looks pretty good.[

Now I'm reading The Iiliad and The Odyssey by Homer (I'm trying to get through as many of the "Great Books" collection as I can this summer) and books 5-7 in The Chronicles of Narnia. I'm going to be doing a whole lot of reading this summer. I hope I get my copy of Chosen by God by R.C. Sproul that I ordered soon, and then I'll read it too. So much to read, so little time

Read the Iliad once... It was sort of a mental "I'm going to do this. I must do this." It was ok, not easy reading... but ok.

It's good, but don't read it if you're an arachnophobic.

The Odyssey...grr...we had to read that in English this year. Gross. Speaking of English, has anyone read A Separate Peace or A Raisin in the Sun? Those are our two summer reading books...last year we had to read a part of Mythology as well but I was SOO happy to see it wasn't on the list this year. Yuck.

The Iiliad is definately not what I'd call easy reading...I keep asking myself, "When is all this fighting over this stupid woman going to end? Why don't these guys grow up?" Oh, well. I think I'll like The Odyssey better; I read it four years ago and found it somewhat interesting.

I have read A Raisin in the Sun, Jesusfreak007. It's pretty good and a great portrayal of the challenges that African Americans faced during the Civil Rights Movement. I hope you enjoy it

I'm now reading Dirty Little Secrets of the Twentieth Century and Apostles of Rock, which is about CCM, and it's pretty interesting so far.
