Just finished. Beautiful writing. Tragic story.

"Gravity's Rainbow" - Thomas Pynchon

Last night I reached the passage which inspired the infamous toilet diving scene in "Trainspotting." Haha...brilliant.

Ah yeah! I read that a few years ago. I really enjoyed it. The end got a bit preachy and over the top, but it's a great story, and the way the chapter organization really builds on the strong characters developed in that book.

And the Hippos Were Boiled in Their Tanks by William S Burroughs and Jack Kerouac. Not amazing so far, but very characteristic of the early writing of both authors.

I'm reading Snow by Orhan Pamuk right now. So far it's a "Meh", but I hate not finishing books...and Pamuk did win the Nobel Prize.

Emperor
The field of swords
by Conn Iggulden

pretty much the story of Julius Ceaser,
probably not 100% true, but its a good read.

I picked up TIME Magainze's issue this month which has numerous ARticles that center on studying the Mind. So far I've read these articles:

What is consciousness, where does it come from?
Why we need sleep?
The Science of Romance and
Why Babies learn languages phenomenally faster than Adults

15 more articles to read by the end of the weekend.
