Indeed. There's some left/right variation, but bass has always carried well in that building.

Bass in church

I'm not a pro but I use a seismic 3/10 with a Behringer bxd3000h and a Schecter custom 4 str. Everyone says it sounds good just enough to support the singer. I was using a Acoustic 260 mk 1 but needed more power. I play clean in church,leave the effects for the head bangers.
