| eBooks on Lead/Solo theory/technique? Hiya,
Just wondering if anyone has any good eBook recommendations (preferably available on Google Play, or at the very least, Amazon) for theory and technique books to improve lead skills? I know there are a few that get thrown around that are hard copy, but I'd really like one electronically so I can look at it when I'm not doing anything at work or out and about.
This is coming from someone absolutely terrible at lead, btw.
Thanks.

This isn't an eBook, which is what you're wanting, but when you're at home you can view all six videos. This helped me a lot with my lead play. I have this to thank...a lot. |

| Thanks for that, I'll try to look at those sometime.
But definitely still after eBooks if people have any suggestions.

| I have heard about it. Is the PDF comprehensive or just a few points?
Thanks.

| The areas that the electric guitar workshop .pdf cover are:
1) Chords and Intervals (This area covers Maj and min triads heavily, plus 6ths and 3rds)
2) Scales and Excercises (This area covers scale patterns; Pent. Maj. min. Harmonic min. 3-Note per string scales, Warm up excercises, and Arpeggios.
3) Alternate Tunings
4) Tones (This area covers a general overview of effects chains, etc. really for beginner intermediate levels)
Really, it took me more time to type this out, than to download and skim through it.
It has a lot of interesting points.
I guess it depends on what your definition of "comprehensive" is... |

| That sounds like plenty as it is. I like to read a lot about explanations and how things work.
My main problem with videos is I get bored WAY too easily by them, whereas if I'm reading something I actually pay attention.

| Don't know if it's available on ebook or not, but Speed Mechanics for Lead Guitar, by Troy Stetina is the best book on developing your technique and lead skills. |
