Question Favorite DAW

So, I'm a pretty much a noob when i comes to recording. I was using audacity but I recently upgraded to Reaper. I'm still learning it, but I can say it is making a world of difference.

What is your favorite DAW?

I'm a big fan of Logic Pro personally. I like the workflow, I find it very easy to work with. It helps that I get a free copy from work, but I started using it before then

I've been using Pro Tools for a decade or longer, but it's not may favorite, it's just what most people I work with use.

My personal fav is an old version of Nuendo (1.6) that would run native on any PowerMac and could do amazing surround sound mixing and even some very basic mastering.

Same here. It's really the only one I've used, and it can be a pain sometimes (...ok, a lot of times!), but I don't mind it...it's the industry standard, and that's pretty much why I use it.

Been using Cubase for about a decade. It's the original DAW. Equally as good as Logic or ProTools. I've heard it's heard to get used to at first, but since it was my first one I wouldn't know the difference. Reasons record is great because it looks just like the real analog stuff, but doesn't let you use external VST's. Garage Band is great for quick recording, but has very limited abilities unless you're going for a lo-fi sound.

I'm struggling using Ableton Live. It came with my interface. Very hard to learn. I had to look at many tutorial videos and forums just to figure out how to record two things at once.

Looking at switching to Reaper, currently using Pro Tools.
