Mount a speaker in a coffee can and you'll have the same thing. Have you actually HEARD one? I have and they don't sound great at all...

If you buy everything you post about saying "I might get one!" then you're going to be very poor (read: broke) by the time you reach adulthood... :kduh: :kshock:

Well, you generally wouldn't want to plug an acoustic guitar into an amp designed for an electric guitar. Acoustic guitars provide a rich pallete of overtones, especially in higher frequencies, that get thrown away by electric guitar amps.

An acoustic guitars need to be played through an amp designed for acoustic instruments and/or a PA system.

Yes, yes.... I know all of that. But all amps still work for all guitars.... even if they don't sound that great. Besides... is the little 6" speaker on the amp-can really gonna be able to handle light acoustic and heavy distortion well?? I doubt it.

If you read what Fender says about them on their website, there for the musician on the go. Small, lightwieght, battery powerd. Mission accomplisihed. It wasn't designed to be a Twin Reverb. Although that would be nice.

It takes a little bit more than a Speaker to amplify a guitar. Like, the electronics that process the signal from your pickups and turns them into audiable sounds instead of Electronic impulses.

My favorite recent quote on CGR:

"Bono is so full of himself that it hurts. Every time I read one of his quotes, it makes me want to puke on his face. It was a good quote, but it is made bad by the fact that he is more self-righteous than George Clooney.
- Art

I am slowly re-assimilating back into the CGR.
