Cobweb of Rainbows

V1
I lie here, wondering
where it all went wrong,
3am I just can't stand,
in my head the same old song

Pre Chorus
I remember when
My sky's were blue
The clouds all washed away...

Chorus
Now im standing in this broken world
My highs are oh so low
Staring back from what was once perfect
Are a cobweb of rainbows....

V2
I spent forty days and forty nights
To finally see the sun
When the rain, pain, the fight was over
I knew she'd be the one
V3
I messed it up, I betrayed
That innocence was lost
I did what was wrong, I took too long
I didn't count the cost...

Pre Chorus
I remember when
My sky's were blue
The clouds all washed away...

Chorus
Now im standing in this broken world
My highs are oh so low
Staring back from what was once perfect
Are a cobweb of rainbows....

Bridge
Even though I'm here throw me off this cliff
Even though the tears, I cease to exist
I wish she could hear, I'm sorry one more time
Time...time...time....

Chorus
Now im standing in this broken world
My highs are oh so low
Staring back from what was once perfect
Are a cobweb of rainbows....
My cobweb of rainbows,
Stuck in my cobweb of....rainbows....

Insert amazing guitar solo here...

Excellent. I heard those words in a lyric in 30 rock and they seemed to be the oddest words I've ever heard. Your song was MUCH better.

It was a challenge not a competition.

I'll try my hand at this, if it's not too late.

A cobweb of rainbows decays
As I stare at You
Light unwinding, Truth unfolding
My bride rotting as I sit holding
the idol she bore me
in a feverish labor

What have I bought
with the inheritance I begged?
My Father still lives
but my shame binds me here
a blind swineherd's boy
salivating with the pigs

Will you stay here
alone and paid for?
Or can you imagine if Grace is in store?

I must start walking
Though the road tears at my feet.
To see these colors rewoven
To see home on the horizon
Until I meet You again
My forsaken friend.

There's someone breathing fire
A million light bulbs burned out
Hung by piano wire

The knife at my throat feels like rubber
The sword I threw myself on is foam
The bat I beat myself with is plastic
Bullets with nerf tips fill my gun...

Why am I awake at this hour
What sordid thoughts fill my mind
What kind of cake is in the freezer
Is it chocolate or another kind

Why are we so in-de-pen-ant
When did life become so bland
Where were you when we can't stand it
What will make us understaaaaaaaaand

The knife at my throat feels like rubber
The sword I threw myself on is foam
The bat I beat myself with is plastic
Bullets with nerf tips fill my gun...

Is anybody out there
Can someone fill this room
It's burning down anyway
Just listen to the doom
