No idea, the low E saddle screw was misaligned on the bridge and pulling up short. As far as basic checks go (open, 5th fret, 12th fret) everything is pretty much in tune up and down the neck now.
The bass is really punchy. My drummer kept saying that it didn't feel as booming as my Jazz bass. The body is smaller, and it's not a string-thru body so I'm not surprised it doesn't have the same sort of note bloom.
It's lighter, the action is fast and the neck is pretty clean so I can't complain.
