I really want to visit Canada, though. Vancouver, I think. Or Toronto, to see the hockey hall of fame.

Anyway, I wish you guys get the opportunity to try paddling properly on a dragonboat team. It really is hard work when you do the technique properly. And its repetitive - you feel like vomiting after 90 seconds. It's fun! |

It's fun! | Maybe I should have joined a dragonboat team for my wife's first five months of pregnancy - then I would have understood that nauseous feeling she got every 90 seconds.

You get to meet new people, spend time outdoors, get some exercise, and get the exhilaration of racing! |

| Dragon boat racing is a two thousand year old sport that has become one of the fastest growing athletic events in the world. A dragon boat crew consists of a steersperson, a drummer and 20 individual paddlers. Whatever the reason for being involved, whether to increase ones physical fitness or to enjoy the company of ones fellow paddlers in a fun and enthusiastic environment, everyone agrees that the excitement of this sport is addictive. |

| I am too lazy to explain everything again so here is what I wrote in my journal (sorry if it doesn't make sense lol) :
Yesterday was so amazing. Our team has so much spirit it makes me want to cry with joy. On Saturday we finished third with a bronze medal and yesterday we finished second with a silver medal (which is FREAKIN AWESOME since last year we got fourth in every single event). I am quite pleased. One of our team members held a BBBQ at his house and it was our last time together as a team. *sniff*
I've decided to continue with dragon boat throughout the summer. I tried doing that last year but ended up quitting after the first practice but this year we want a summer team that will be made of mostly kids from our high school. That way I'll feel more comfortable and my coach already knows how I perform and I've already had him for two years so I think it'll be a better situation. I am so psyched. haha I cannot spell. Too lazy to try and fix.
I KNOW you all are INCREDIBLY interested in what goes on with this summer team, so I will explain. There's two practices a week and then there are 2, possibly 3, events that take place on weekends in the summer in which basically, will be a repeat of what happened this past weekend for me. Ooo I am excited! |
