Choruses for worship songs?

So I was wondering what cymbal all of you guys use during the chorus for worship songs (when it's loudest of the song). I tend to use a crash during it because a ride cymbal sounds too weak and wimpy, and a crash comes out more. But I was also thinking about using crash rides, but are those any good? Or do you guys hit the edge of the ride? I have a typical Zildjian ZBT Ride and it sounds terrible when I hit the edge. Too much resonance and disturbance haha. So what do YOU guys use?

I'd say there's no specific cymbal to use during choruses, just whatever fits the song. As for crash/ride cymbals, most people say they aren't really good, but if you like them then that's all that matters.

Try smashing on some trashy half-open hats if you want more energy than the ride.

I used to be an all-ride-all-the-time-during-choruses guy when I was younger, but now I almost always find myself following this pattern (on standard songs): closed hats during versus, opened hats during choruses, and crashes during big bridges. The ride I use sounds great as a crash so I'll sometimes use that instead and obviously it really depends on the song, but for the most standard of songs, that's how I'd do it.
