Thoughts on these keyboards / DPs

Lower level:
Casio Privia PX-330
Korg SP250

Higher level:
Kawai EP3
Yamaha P-155

Also interested in hearing other ideas.

Use case:
- Mostly piano and electric piano sound.
- Some ability to record to something relatively easily is essential. Built-in recorder very nice.
- Weighted keys essential.
- Synth sounds appreciated but not essential.
- Backing tracks appreciated but not essential.
- Audio input appreciated but not essential.
- Built-in speakers appreciated, but not essential.
- Lightweight appreciated, but not essential.
- 88 keys appreciated, but 76 would be acceptable.

Budget: $1000, lower is nice, *slightly* above is possible.

Yamaha MM8. I've recently developed an interest in the keys and this seems lile a feature-filled board in your budget--plus it comes with some really great software.

I've always been a Fan of the Yamaha & have owned a few of them. They have a Surprisingly Realistic Grand Piano sound. And the other effect are very realistic too.

I saw the date. Maybe I should re-read the forum rules.

I actually never ended up buying one... might be getting one from my brother.

If not though, my conclusion was that it was worth the extra to go with the Kawai.
