| ZT Amps Lunchbox I'm looking at moving overseas later in the year and I want to take a guitar rig with me. At the moment I have a bunch of gear I really like, but it's pretty hard to take a big cab or head on a plane, especially with a guitar and a pedalboard in flightcases.
I've heard really good things about these amps and was wondering if anyone has tried one, or if anyone owns one. It seems like it'd be perfect for my needs - I'd be able to put it in a suitcase, have an amp that's plenty loud for bedroom levels, and I could pick up a cheap cab overseas if I need more volume.
I've mostly used tube amps for the last few years, but I like nice sounding solid state amps as well. I had an EHX 22 Caliber for a while and I liked the sound of it a lot. If the Lunchbox sounds similar to that amp, but with a built-in speaker, I'd be stoked. Unfortunately I can't find any shops nearby that stock them, so I can't try one out.
If anyone has used one, please let me know. I'd also be interested to know if they sound good as speakers for playing music from an mp3 player or laptop. |
