So...anyone planning to see this one? I really dig Steve Taylor and think he's the perfect guy to make this kind of movie. The trailer looks interesting. I was curious to see how Miller's book would get turned into a film.

I saw the trailer, and found it extremely intriguing. I hardly remember the book, so I might re-read it.

I own it, but I would have to read it for the first time. I'm mildly embarrassed by that fact.

has anyone seen it yet? i heard it is good, and am planning to go if i can convince my roomie to go with. i just finished rereading it again, and am curious to see how it translates to film.

I haven't seen it, but I also heard it was good. The bad thing is I live in such a small area, I probably won't be able to see it in a theater and will have to wait until the disc.

I'm hoping to see it this weekend...but more pressing matters have arisen. The Choir are playing a free show an hour and half from me tonight.

Picked it up on DVD last night. I thought it was pretty good. There are a couple of things that seem odd unless you've read the book (Sexy Carrot).

I'll have to watch it again to see what I may have missed.

It's not a 100% faithful adaptation of the book...but it does present the same ideas and concepts in a fictional setting. The movie takes place at Reed College but is set in a current setting. Some of the same people mentioned in the book are "reimagined" for the film. The film looks more expensive than it's VERY LOW budget.

My wife and I both enjoyed it. I want to watch it again this weekend when I get some downtime.
