what can i get for$ 100
I got my income tax return and after I pay a few bills I will have $100 left. I want to get me a new bass or something bass related. What do you think I should get?
I have responded to a few craigslist ads for inexpensive basses and have gotten no replies so a bass could be out of the question
Any ideas?

How long have you been looking at CL? I wouldn't be put off by a handful of flakes. Someone will eventually get back to you.

Hit the pawn shops. My MIM Fender Strat and my Squier Jazz bass were each less than $100 in a local pawn shop.

Or hit the yard sales. My silverface Twin was $30 at a yard sale, though it did need new power tubes.

What about a new case or gig bag, if you don't already have good ones?

How about a set of harmonicas? Or a new microphone? Or recording software? Or a small practice amp?

Or maybe you could take one of your groupies out for a really nice dinner.

I cant get anything because my husband wants the money for new clothes or shoes. So Im just going to give it to him.

Usually it's the opposite way around haha.

All kidding aside, you can go to Pawn Shops. When I went there to get my Squier VM Jazz Bass, I saw a couple decent Ibanez P/J style for $75. There was a Squier Affinity Jazz bass for $99 too.
