| What do you mean by the "untold story of his origin"? Will the new movie have a different beginning to spider-man?

| The untold part is that the story delves more into his family, as the trailer showed. But I don't believe they changed his background. |

| I'm really impressed by the amount of humor brought to this movie as shown in the trailer, especially between Spider-Man and the car thief. Since my understanding is that that is more in line with how the comics portray the character, that caught my eye in a big way.

In the original comics, Peter Parker develops the web fluid and a small web-shooting device that goes on his forearm (under the suit).
Also, the Tobey Maguire movies don't go into Peter Parker's parents at all, something that the comics do. So it's the "untold" story of his origin in the sense that the previous movies tell how he became Spider-man, but now who he was as Peter Parker.
Also, Gwen Stacy is a minor character in the Tobey Maguire movies, but she's a very important character in the comics - she's Peter's first girlfriend (and there's something else very important about her, too).
So while it's a bit of sarcasm, it's also fairly true - this is the origin story that was left untold in the last movie origin story. |

| I wonder if the new movies will treat Gwen Stacy the way the comics did.

| Remember that scene in the trailer with Spider-Man and the car thief? A new extended set of footage has been released featuring more funny Spidey moments: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FACDVEb81jo

| I'm sure I'll see it. I have no complaints about what I've seen, but I'm just not particularly interested. |

| Maybe after three of these movies they'll reboot it with an actual teenager. |

| Saw it at midnight. It was better than the Toby Maguire movies, not saying much. I enjoyed most of it. It suffered from pretty bad dialog but not the the point where I'd fail it. I'd give it a B-.
