| New build - input requested This is an alder bodied, PRS style guitar. Pickups and bridge are sort of laying in/on their respective routes. I was going to do it as a goldtop, but part of me is just debating a natural gloss for sort of a unique look. Yes it needs sanding, yes it needs an electronics cavity and knobs and the back to be sculpted.
Hardware is chrome. Pickups are Bareknuckle nailbombs. Bridge is Schaller 455. Pickup rings are chrome plated brass as well.
With the maple and chrome, it has a very unique look at the moment that I am unsure of. What say ye?

| Definitely goldtop.
#1 The gold would look really nice with the maple neck. I'd go with cream colored knobs. If it were me, I would either go with Cream P90's or bare cream colored bobbin humbuckers, but chrome would like nice too..
#2 the wood of the body is very plain...yawn

| I'm with the Major. The wood is very plain, now that's not to say that if you had some slightly pigmented lacquer that it wouldn't look cool, but, it's not my bag.

| I'm not a very big fan of gold tops at all, so I voted for gloss. Alder can be very plain and doesn't have much figure, but I still think its a nice color. I think gloss would look very utilitarian, in a good way. |

| I've always liked natural wood colouring. Also, to me it seems that goldtop also requires the les paul shape. |

| One of the guitarists from (I think) Paramore has a sweet gold top Tele. That finish totally transcends the Les Paul shape. |

The wood was absolutely extraordinarily plain, which if you looked through my top woods I have stands out something fierce. So very plain that on some level it looked to me like it worked. But, I wasn't sure if the quilts and flames were clouding my judgment.

| Honestly, that picture leans me away from gold. Great.
