A flamed maple top with a green finish would look SICK. Metallic green would look cool too. Have you considered seafoam?

I don't like seafoam. Think like radioactive green or something just out there.

But... I am planning on a forest green flametop over Limba. We are talking aaaa or aaaaa flame.

I have a aaa flame with a black stain nearing completion.

Try this.

Do a veneer topwood of something interesting. Flame and quite is overdone, but birdseye would be interesting. Then, do a white wash or dye, and then do a gold glitter sunburst effect. That would accomplish all that you suggested, between a simple wood gloss, plus a bit of pizazz with the gold gliltter, and the veneer would keep the wood from looking boring.

PRS actually does make a gold top I think. You may have already, but if not you could google that for reference of what your body would like like in that style.
