I don't have a lot of contribute except to say that I have an old Gibson that I cannot play because it hurts my rotator cuff. It's a Gibson MK-72 that my mom was given, which I know virtually nothing about except that it's purdy.

Also, I think this is my first post in Guitars.

That is a mighty cool guitar if it is in good shape.

I believe it is. It's got some wear and tear from years of use, but it really hasn't been played very consistently in at least 20 years. I got a new saddle a few years back for some reason I can't remember, and my luthier did a little adjusting and fine tuning of some stuff then...not that I know what he did. But as far as I know, it's still in very good shape.

I would love to hear it played... No one I know plays well enough to really make it sing...or they're all left-handed.
