Steph has job interviews!
My fiancee has been looking for a job for quite some time after graduating college and this morning two places she applied to contacted her and set up interviews on Friday. Please pray that she'll get one and that it'll be a good place to work.

Add another one for Tuesday! This is insane, not a single call for almost a year, and then 3 in two days. The timing could not be more clutch, I can only thank God that this is happening now.

Forgot to check in. One interview was abysmal and the other she thought went well. She's supposed to hear this week if she'll get a second interview. Here's hoping, and praying!

No call back yet on the second interview with the potentially good job. The one Tuesday was one of those door to door scams. We're getting desperate.

The only call backs we seem to get are for door-to-door sales... The good news is that I got a 5k raise this week so we can make it if she has no job at all, but as it is, she's gonna have an hour and a half commute for a job that's only going to bring in about 150 bucks a month (after tax and gas)... We can survive on my salary alone, but I'm mostly worried about her confidence, it's taken a huge blow recently, and she's really torn up about it. I really hate to see her like this. I am a bit worried that we're going to have to live pretty thin for a while, but we can survive...

has she looked into americorps positions? you don't make much (public slave) but you make more than 150/mo and the experience is incredible, and it looks really good on a resume. i looked for work for a year after graduating with a dual bachelors + honors, but it wasn't until after i completed a term of service in americorps that i was offered the beginning of a career. at a top fortune 500 company. most everyone i served with has gone on to work at top notch companies or has been admitted to prestigious grad schools/programs. not that i am saying steph necessarily wants to work at global companies, but the experience and credibilty you get through americorps service goes a long way.

most importantly, it will boost her self esteem. i know what it's like.
