Wow the sarcasm was so thick it went over to another thread....

Anyways, it is both a blessing and a curse.

What's this preoccupation everyone has with "sarcasm"? We can't have any dry wit or satire? What, we can't make occasionally silly comments, or engage in occasional frivolity? It all has to be classified under the ugly moniker of "sarcasm"?

Text based communication lowers all such wit to sarcasm. Especially on the internet. I'm afraid that if you wish to be genuinely witty, you might have to go talk to people face to face.

I wouldn't take anything posted on forums too seriously.

Interesting observation.

It's been said.

I normally don't.

I'm just ignoring most of what is above this post, and say--I am grateful to God he gave me some talent/ability to play guitar--an the opportunity as well.

I'm not guitar master or anything, but I do enjoy it, and I especially enjoy being able to praise him with a guitar and a bass.

My default mode on these boards is to assume the poster is speaking out of Christian love. I have seen so few examples of people not doing so that it's really remarkable.

Oh, and I sat last night and played my guitar and quietly prayed. I had to thank the Lord for bringing a family into our lives who we were not only able to develop a true friendship with but also we baptised one of them last night! It's the first time I was ever that deeply involved in the process and I have to say it's one of the greatest gifts God can give a believer. I'm so thankful to have been a part of it. Oddly enough, my playing raised a notch as well.

Isn't it marvellous to be able to play the guitar?

It took me a while to actually get serious about learning to play. (About two years ago, after a couple of attempts to learn and plenty of frustration at how difficult it was and dropping it.) But I haven't regretted it at all since I got past trying to play Em and C and added more chords. =)

Now I can't imagine NOT playing... =D And I'm thankful for the ability to praise God with the guitar. =)

Amen--I enjoy playing so much more now that I am doing it for fun, and for worship as well.
