| NGD - Fender FSR Telecaster
Just got this in today. It's Guitar Center's FSR Telecaster in Butterscotch blonde. It's an MIM with "hot tele" pickups and a reversed control panel.
I absolutely love it. I've been trying to find a guitar that sounds like my roommate's MIM telecaster as it is the exact sound I want, but I had lots of trouble finding it. This guitar ended up being it. It sounds just freaking awesome. The pickups sound exactly like I've wanted to hear in my head.
I have a bit of issue with the reverse control panel, as the volume knob gets in my way, but I'll adjust to that super quickly.
It is a bit heavier than regular telecasters but i'm used to my Les Paul so I love it.

| You can always reverse the controls if you don't like them. I'd be reversing them before I even plugged it in.

| Great looking guitar.... I prefer the control plate reversed on my Tele but that's cos I'm too used to a Strat.

| I am definately GASing for one of these. Unfortunately I can find this guitar anywhere near me. Oh sure I could order it, but I don't like buying guitars without playing them first. Some Fender necks are just too chunky for me, weird I know, especially for a guy with big hands, but I don't like chunky necks. Can you tell me a bit about the neck? |

I have been using this guitar a ton lately so I'll respond anyway.
I'd say the neck is pretty small. I don't really know if it's a "C" neck or anything about what it's shape is, but I can say it's super comfortable. The fretwork was nice, and the neck is smooth. I just played some tele at guitar center yesterday and the neck was HUGE. It felt so fat. Not un-usable, but WAY bigger than my tele's neck.
I am pretty confident that you will enjoy this guitar if you get it. The neck feels fantastic and honestly I LOVE these pickups. I got to play my guitar through a Morgan ac20 yesterday and it was by far the best guitar tone that I've ever personally used. It was mostly the Morgan, but it wouldn't have felt so great if I didn't love the guitar!

| I didn't think it was that old; only January of this year.
Is this the one with the seperate maple finger board or is it part of the neck?
