Favorite Games of All Time List

Not what you think is the BEST game of all time, your favorites. I know this concept to some of you that people can like bad games is weird, but there are some bad games on my list and their quirks are precisely why I love them.

I've actually not compiled mine and lets limit it to 10 games.

I have been thinking about mine and here are some candidates:

FFV
FFVI
FFVII
FFVIII
FFX
Super Mario Bros. 3
Super Mario Bros. 2
Super Mario 64
Armored Core (includes the "expansions", ie. Project Phantasma and Master of Arena)
Armored Core 2
Legend of Legaia
Day of Defeat
Star Ocean 2
Half-Life
Mega Man Legends
Arkham Asylum
Descent
Crimson Skies
Starcraft
Age of Empires
Age of Mythology
Odd World: Stranger's Wrath

More candidates to come... cutting the list down and arranging them is going to be VERY hard. I'll probably write a short blurb about each one of my finals as to what's good about it and why I chose it.

Final Fantasy 7
Final Fantasy 3
Halo
Lunar: Silver Star Story
Mass Effect

Both of those are decent lists... and, btw, I will be narrowing down and making a top 10. It's just going to be a long process.

It's historically the most unbalanced in favor to the offense. You'd have multi-player games where each team scores 70+. Also, Michael Vick was completely unstoppable.

I think this is it. I may restructure it later... but this is what I think is the best I could do.

1. Final Fantasy VII: I think this game speaks for itself.
2. Armored Core 2: This game had big robots, fantastic gameplay, graphics that were ahead of it's time. I absolutely love it.
3.Super Mario Bros. 3: My first video game and the standard for which all sidescrolling platformers will forever be judged. I used to play this for HOURS on end.
4.Descent: Spaceship first person shooter with 360 degrees of freedom. Pure awesome.
5. Starcraft: Oh man have I put some hours into this one. Probably the best RTS ever made.
6. Armored Core: Including it's expansions, one of the most enjoyable games ever. Most of the same reasons as Armored Core 2, except nowhere near the graphics of AC2.
7. Day of Defeat: Simple yet fun capture the flag/mission based multiplayer FPS.
8. Legend of Legaia: Great story, original gameplay, fun as hell.
9. Age of Empires: Great semi-historical RTS. Was really ahead of it's time.
10. Final Fantasy VIII: This is a truly terrible game, but it had a LOT of charm. From the Emo main character, to the giant plot holes, to the love story that comes out of nowhere and the system that was set up to be exploited on accident, this game is so bad it's awesome.

Any game from my list of candidates earlier plus MechWarrior3 and 4 all deserve special mention. I think Halo for PC goes on the special mention list too.
